I’m excited to share my travel experience to the Dinosaur Parlour (恐龍館, kǒnglóng guǎn) at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre (香港文化博物館, Xiānggǎng wénhuà bówùguǎn). This exhibition is located right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀, Jiānshāzuǐ), making it a perfect stop for families exploring one of Hong Kong’s most vibrant districts.
A Parent’s Perspective: Dinosaurs Come Alive
Do you remember when your kid first saw a fake dinosaur as a baby? That look of pure, wide-eyed wonder (mixed with a tiny bit of "is it going to eat me?") is an unforgettable milestone for any parent.
At the Dinosaur Parlour, I saw that same sparkle in children’s eyes as they stood in front of life-sized dinosaur models and interactive displays. The exhibition is designed to be both educational and fun, with fossils, reconstructions, and engaging visuals that transport kids back to the prehistoric world.
My own visit was filled with laughter and excitement—kids were pointing at the towering skeletons, roaring like dinosaurs, and asking endless questions. It’s the kind of place where curiosity naturally blossoms, and parents can enjoy watching their children learn while having fun.

Why Kids Will Love It
Embossing bookmarks: Keep the souvenirs that children made themselves.
The Big Reveal: They get to see actual dinosaur bone fossils (恐龍骨骼化石, kǒng lóng gǔ gé huà shí).
Immersive Learning: The space uses reconstruction models and videos to show how these giants lived.
Paleontologist Vibes: It’s designed to make kids feel like little explorers uncovering a secret.
The official Dinosaur Parlour page and poster give a glimpse of what to expect, but seeing it in person is far more impressive.
Located within the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre (香港文物探知馆, xiāng gǎng wén wù tàn zhī guǎn), this exhibition is a total win for parents. Unlike massive, overwhelming museums, the "Parlour" setting feels intimate and scholarly, showcasing the incredible discovery of dinosaur fossils right here in Hong Kong on Port Island (赤洲, chì zhōu).
The Dinosaur Parlour is more than just an exhibition—it’s a memory-making experience for families. Parents will appreciate the educational value, while kids will simply love the thrill of standing face-to-face with dinosaurs.

Discovering Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀, jiān shā zuǐ)
The Dinosaur Parlour is perfectly situated inside Kowloon Park (九龍公園, jiǔ lóng gōng yuán). This makes it incredibly easy to visit the rest of the district in one go. Tsim Sha Tsui is the heartbeat of Kowloon, famous for its mix of luxury shopping, street food, and world-class museums.
After you've finished at the "Parlour," you are just steps away from the Victoria Harbour (維多利亞港, wéi duō lì yà gǎng) waterfront. You can let the kids burn off energy running along the Avenue of Stars (星光大道, xīng guāng dà dào) or take the iconic Star Ferry (天星小輪, tiān xīng xiǎo lún) for a cheap and scenic ride across the water. It’s the ultimate Hong Kong family day out!
Next spot? Just tell me – Victoria Harbour night cruise, Lantau Big Buddha, or a hidden garden? I’m ready to write the next one tonight!✨
See you at the top!
Hari 😊
